Looking at a portrait from the S2 at 400% on screen I would probably agree - same as the S1 files (interpolated from 4megpixel) when compared with files from a Kodak 760 (genuine 6megpixel) > for the S2. You can clearly see a cast in the Kodak chart and elsewhere in > the image (noticeably the silver bottle tops, labels borders, silver > watch, > white paper - basically everywhere). Custom white balance works well with studio flash - everything else so far has been a RAW capture and white balanced after shooting in Bibble or the Fuji HS-S2 software. Then tweaked as a 16bit file with curves in Photoshop. The S1 has given me terrible problems when the white balance setting has been wrong, I started setting it to 'cloudy' auto was not reliable - so perhaps Fuji havent got it sorted yet. > array of S2 sensors that causes 'moire'. I read a discussion of this somewhere - can't remember where now - the Fuji 'super CCD' uses sensors they call octagonal rather than rectangular or square and this gives more actual resolution horizontally and vertically for the same number of pixels than the usual layouts. . .
