Dear David, GoBack from Roxio has saved my PC from several ill-advised installations, some willing some not. Unfortunately it's necessary to be in a stable state when first installed so that you have a safe place to go back too. It beats Windows uninstall which always seems to leave dismembered bits of code frantically trying to revive lost programmes. It's possible to recover files from the history cache if something vital gets lost in the rewind. It now comes as part of Norton Systemworks 2003 which seems to work OK on my PC but the Mac version trashed my Powerbook. However, the subsequent rebuild fixed a left side darkening on the display.
