Can anybody recommend a mail package....
Yo luddite,

I've happily used Eudora since 1993 and I don't even know where the settings panel is. Attachments, if they're pix or pdfs, are viewable in the body of the mail, otherwise (.sit files say) are double clickable in the Header.

They're all stored in a folder of your choosing and don't disappear into the void like OSX's Mail.

It's available in "lite" version (free), "sponsored mode" which put's a little ad panel on your screen when it's the active app., or paid mode (heavyweight and no ads).

I've found the ads useful in fact, and I've bought stuff as a result of them!

It's here: http://www.eudora.com/email/modes/
