As per an earlier post on this subject, I have this advice after setting up, testing 
and running a 9600.

If you are using art papers the Matte black is, without a doubt, the only one to use. 
The density of black and overall contrast on these papers is far superior to the Photo 
Black.

If you are using glossy or lustre papers then the Photo Black is probably better. The 
downside is that you waste A LOT of ink switching between the different blacks.

Last bit of advice. Get it properly profiled - it made a huge difference with the 9600 
(profiled by Neil Barstow). B&W prints were extremely neutral with little apparent 
illuminant metamerism. You probably have a contact over there for profiling? If you 
know of Bill Atkinson, I believe he is worth a look!
