Can anyone help me? Due to the very narrow depth-of-field of the Nikon 8000 scanner, I have always struggled to get edge to edge sharpness with all formats. I now have to scan some 6x8 trans which will be reproduced on large posters and where the focus has to be sharp all over, (no fudging in photoshop which is the usual 'fix'). I have therefore just paid the exorbitant amount which Nikon ask for an anti-newton glass carrier and guess what........ I've now got sharp scans covered in newton rings! I can't win. Can someone be my Night in shining armour and come to my rescue with a solution arrived at by experience of the same problem? The other alternative would be for me to find someone to do this job for me asap, any volunteers? Nikon, if you're listening, how about a product that actually works? Please.......... Yours frustratedly.
