Yes. The images look like over aggressive processing in PhotoDesk...noise reduction AND sharpening. Images from my 760 will take on a similar appearance if processed solely and heavily in PhotoDesk. I don't put much stock in these samples as samples I've seen from just about every other Kodak camera were poorer than images that the camera could produce in the hands of someone with better processing skills and not limited by Kodak only tools applied globally...especially on cameras like this one that don't use an AA filter. The images are definitely NOT processed with the idea that someone will look at them at 100 percent in Photoshop...which is precisely what everyone downloading them will do. I'm betting they will make nice prints. The detail is impressive. Sample one of them down to 2000x3000 pixels...the size of a 6MP camera...and the result is very smooth...like an almost completely artifact free 760 image. That's what I'm hoping to achieve with this camera.

I note that most (all?) of these samples show a .4 stop exposure compensation in PhotoDesk. That means the originals were all underexposed. My experience with Kodak digicams says that's not the best way to get an image out of them if you want to show noise free deep shadows. Again, I think some poor choices were made in displaying these samples but based on previous experience with Kodak cameras/software I'm not nearly as disappointed as many of the responses I've seen.

I never worry about color or contrast in sample images from any manufacturer. That's highly dependent and easily correctable based on user preferences and processing setup.
