I am sure this is way OT, so I would be more than happy if anybody wants to
respond off list. Being new to the country I just wasn't sure where else to
ask.

I have some legal problems with Italian companies using my images without
permission in Italy. I handed one of these cases to a lawyer there and they
wrote a couple of letters, but nothing else until coming back after 8 months
to tell me that they don't feel able to continue as I am out of the country
and the amount we could win is likely to be around half of what their fee
would be. They now want to hand me over to a smaller studio and the whole
thing will start again from scratch. Bear in mind that few cases in Italy
last less than 5 years court and the vast majority never reach a final
conclusion.

Has anybody on this list had experience in obtaining money from foreign
companies for copyright abuse by dealing through the UK legal system?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Ashley
