Dear Mark I don't think you can generalise about the Europeans in quite the terms you have. I have had all those experiences with all nationalities including the Swiss and the Belgians. They have all paid without argument and also only paid after an argument. One major international bank did not believe that I had done 20+ assignments for Nigerian companies and been paid for every one. Perhaps I'm lucky. Which brings me to digital topics. I was speaking to a photographer a couple of days ago who said that supplying digital scans to clients meant that he could ask for money up front before shipping via ISDN. Increasingly his clients didn't want either the hassle of scanning or paying lots of cheques. Even UK government departments were happier paying via VISA. Has anyone else found this to be so?
