Dear list, A couple of months ago on the list it was mentioned that there is a camera supplier in California that tests each chip on every camera they sell as some were proving to be less sharp than others and were sending them back (I think this was a specific reference to Canon). This was brought up again last week in relation to people buying cameras outside the UK and the validity of warranties. Has the problem of the varying quality of the chips been resolved and are we rash in going somewhere like the States if Canon UK doesn't recognize US warranties as a dodgy chip is a pretty fundemental part of the kit!? (Will purchasing extended warranties cover equipment bought outside the UK?)
I am playing devil's advocate, but were it not for this nagging doubt, I would order an Eos 1Ds tomorrow! Regards, Paul Debois =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
