I would love to know the definitive answer to this, as there is always a lot of conflicting info stated about Mac gamma.
AFAIK - it is the Mac's graphics card which performs a lightening effect before the signal is sent to the monitor, it is not the monitor itself. The monitor is 2.5, it is the hardware driving the monitor which sets things to a 1.8 response - the monitor just reflects this. The plugs and cables are another thing though - my question is only about where the 1.8 gamma is truly introduced. Please correct me or agree with me, I really want this answered once and for all! <g> Stephen Marsh. =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
