There has been a lot of flack about AOL recently and (I never thought I
would see my self doing it), I feel I have to add a balancing opinion.

We cannot get DSL in this area and consequently I use ISDN. AOL has
provided me with a very cheap way of receiving email all day long +
unlimited web access ( at 64kbs) for UK 15/month. I rarely get kicked
off and for sending pictures to clients it has proved fast and reliable.
There is a catch: Max file size is supposed to be 2Mb, but I can usually
squeeze nearly 3. By zipping multiple files, I have never had any
problems with corrupted images

For my mainstream e mail I use Easynet and all my incoming mail can be
happily received across AOL, sadly it is no longer possible to send my
Easynet mail across the AOL system ( used to be able to).

Incidentally, they have never kicked me off when I have downloaded 150Mb
Windows updates either <G>
