I seem to be getting a lot of very puzzling anomalous effects at the moment.
The latest is not serious but puzzling all the same.

I have created a design in InDesign2 which has a background image. Exactly
the same image is placed in a white bordered frame at a smaller magnification
inside the background. Both the background and inset are linked to the same
TIFF file. An epson print of this document shows the inset image to be a
different colour to the background. More cyan and less magenta. A PDF of the
same file prints with the same difference in colour. The difference cannot be
seen on screen. A Matchprint proof shows no difference at all and is just as
it should be.

I can think of nothing but "Deux ex Machina".

Have a good weekend
