I just went from 512kb/s aDSL to a 2Mb/s sSDLand its just great to have the same speed both ways (+ its 4x faster incoming and 8x outbound). But here in Iceland its quite a bit more expensive to run sDSL vs aDSL, dont know how it is at your end. I made the switch because I am running a web site and ftp-server so the speed outbound was very important. If you can live with slower uploads aDSL is probably much better value. sDSL is also a lot more stable.
