is the latest situation from Agfa.

SCALA PROCESSING SERVICE
The Scala Processing service in London has been suspended until further
notice due to circumstances beyond our control and virtually without
warning.
In the meantime we have arranged with ARKA, the Scala laboratory in Paris,
to undertake processing for UK photographers.
ARKA is a professional laboratory whose staff speak English and are used to
dealing with international customers. Their quality control is outstanding
and they already work for a number of London photographers.

Customers should telephone ARKA direct concerning prices and method of
payment and then send the work direct to them. ARKA's prices are more
expensive than Joe's but they operatea a premium service which reflects the
current processing rates in most European countries.
Pre-paid mailers
All pre-paid mailers will be honoured but ARKA are not able to deal with
them directly.
For holders of Pre-paid mailers, there are two possible courses of action:
1. Readdress the mailing bag to:

We will then forward the film for processing.
NB: Any cheques for mounting charges should be made payable to AGFA-GEVAERT
LTD.
2. To minimise delay you can send your film directly to ARKA, pay them
for processing and keep your mailers for later use with the new UK
processing station when it comes on line.
We are sorry for inconvenience caused but are working to reinstate the UK
Scala Processing service as quickly as possible. Full information will be
published when the details have been finalised.
