[PRODIG] batch printing for PS and epson 2100

Can someone(s) offer advice as to a way of batching prints to a given size and set up;
I am working in PS7.01 (os 10.2 and 9.1 and 9.22 though I would prefer to do this in os 10.2) and want to set a folder of non standard sized images (portrait and landscape) to batch to a pre defined size, print resolution and paper type (e.g. A5 premium semi gloss at 1440dpi). I haven't managed to find a way of setting the default paper size to A5 so can't record an action that will accomodate the needed change of paper size.
I'm sure this is must be possible in PS7 and that also there must be an application that can handle this,
