Paul, I don't know about Virgin but the following applies to BT Broadband and I expect it'll be the same. The alcatel (or frog, as it's commonly known) and especially the OSX drivers are rubbish, HOWEVER they can be used successfully if you stick too a couple of rules. First follow these instructions for installation ..... http://homepage.mac.com/antoniostrijdom/howto.html (you must install driver 1.6 and then update to V2 (or something) if I remember correctly. Then as you quoted earlier, you MUST connect IMMEDIATELY after a reboot (it must be the first thing that you do) and then just stay connected. If you do decided to disconnect, for whatever reason, chances are you'll have to reboot again if you want to get re-connected. Apart from that it works fine.
