Basically the kodak 14 mega pixel that's coming out. I have downloaded the, test images as other did from the web site. To be quite honest they were rubbish in comparison to my d100, even when blown up to 200% on screen. Loads of noise, bizare sharpening. The chip is supposed to be simiar to the new canons and the new canon shots are great. So I asked the guy for some new examples. He assured me the problem had been cured and so I waited eagerly for the shots to blow me away. Well they were rubbish, to be quite honest. Loads of noise, in shadows and highlights, loads of other stuff still in the sharpening of the images. The demonstator was getting very embarrased at this point. So he said the camera he had in his hand was improved again. So We shot a couple at f8 with the onboard flash, rubbish I know but a good indication og sharpness/noise etc. Even at 1600asa on the d100 the noise is never like this. Well what can I say, no improvement. Even more embarrissed, demonstrator. I was hoping to be stunned but, I'm sorry to be dissapointed. Shipping in 2 weeks was mentioned, but from where I am standing, they have a lot of work to do. Just my thoughts and experiences. They didn't even bother to bring their medium format back with them and loads of people wanted to see it.
