Yes it definitely is. On every frame ! Mick Bell wrote : > The colour banding is something I also suffer from using a D1. It occurs > when you have a dark area bordering a white area. I've noticed this happening with the Flextight I use too. CCD's seem a pretty bad idea then ? Geez. Nice to find all this out now, eh ? Anyway, so if I shoot digital I have to expect horrible banding around the faces of all the people I shoot against a white (or light backdrop). This is a ridiculous situation, and completely undermines my confidence in shooting digital : The holy grail is not so holy (like the User interface on Mac OSX - more like an "inyourface" rather than an "interface". But that's another story....). Getting more despondent with digital by the minute... I guess I'll have to return my Nikon D100 to be repaired now..which no doubt will take weeks and weeks to do - and in the meantime what do I do - buy a spare digital camera Sir ! Well fancy that. What a suprise.... Best wishes, David =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
