I am looking at either Silverfast 6 or Vuescan
Go for Vuescan, now it has IT8 calibration you can have a week off in the sun on what you'll save compared with the SF equivalent. And it's better. And free upgrades. And you can use it on several machines legally. And Vuescan won't take another arm/leg if you want to change scanners.
