I am looking for scanner software. I have been using VueScan and like it very much. It has many features which make it superior to the Photoshop TWAIN driver. Its main drawback is that with my scanner (CanoScan FS 4000) it only produces 8 bit scans although the scanner is capable of producing 16 bit scans. You get 16 bit scans with the Photoshop TWAIN driver, but not with VueScan. Are there other drivers available?
