Hello Richard,

I think that two cards compatible with your profiling app would be fine and
ideally the same brand. It was stressed to me that the cards should be
recent as there is something about older cards that will not allow an AGP
and PCI to work together. Certainly the XP help says that the primary
monitor should be on the PCI card. This has not given me any issues and mine
is actually on the AGP. 

I have successfully profiled with i1 match, I can see no possible reason why
Optical should not work. It is actually the cards that have their LUTs
modified by the software and windows attributes an .ICM profile to each
device.
