Gurus one and all,
I'm having a hair-wrenching problem with a Dell PC monitor.
The computer is a 2ghz P4 Win2K(V5) running a Nvidia Quadro2 MXR/EX PCI video card.
The problem is that the machine won't hold utilise the profile. During the startup you can see the monitor profile apply then be over-ridden by the base video card settings (direct from the LUT?). I can tell that (I think) because I have run Precal at a few different white points, and that is what seems to end up on the screen. It almost seems like a timing/sequencing issue where the LUT setting are the last to be applied.
I've eliminated Adobe Gamma. I've made the settings as administrator (all users) and at user level. I've used Precal/Optical, EyeOne through ProfileMaker, even Colorshop and can't get anything to stick.
Any Ideas?
Hello Lee,
You have mentioned the three initials which would seem to be your issue: W2K!
As far as I know you will not sort your problems without moving to Windows 2000.
Sorry,
