Shortcut for networking machines. Connect to the other machine & save password etc., then drag the image of the other computer to the dock. The next time you want to connect click on the icon of the other computer & the connection is made automatically. It's that simple.
Zooming the screen. Press Option Shift * to turn this option on, then pressing Option Command + or - (same as Photoshop) zooms in 'n out. Instantly, centred on the cursor. The quality is much better than you'd imagine& it's very usable. Especially with high resolution screens where text is small.
