Hi Tim, As an indirect answer to your question, have you considered removable hard-drives? If all you're interested in doing is archiving, you can add a removable hard-drive holder to your W2K box, and pop hard drives in and out. Much cheaper than the LaCie route. However, if it's your intention to keep the LaCie chained all the time so you can access the images whenever, you can ignore this post.
