I'd like to get a new dual G4, but some of these problems in OS X have really exhausted my patience. My 1290 prints with much the same sort of speed in OS X as in OS 9.
...which should maybe tell you that it's not an OS X problem? More likely to be the Epson driver for the 2100; it's widely known that ALL the Epson drivers for OS X are stopgap efforts that don't offer anything like the same functionality as the old OS 9 ones.
