Thanks for your reply Jason. Yes, I am using a profile for the printer ( made up by Pixl )
It is when I convert the image to this profile that the red colour changes dramatically. If I leave the image - a digital one taken on a Nikon D1X - as the Adobe RBG 1998 profile the red is better but the skin tones are not. So far this profile has proved invaluable - indeed created for glossy paper I have tried it on the Pictro matt paper and the b/w is better. I have not encountered this before - is this a colour too far for the printer?
