Judging from my results with a 1280, sending the 7600 360dpi should be about right. However, the printer itself should be set for the highest resolution which is still an option for the paper (2880dpi for gloss, 1440 for matte) > I only have a humble 1160, which I set to 240dpi. I also understand (from > Neil B) that 180dpi works well also. Does this also hold true > for the 7600? You should see very little improvement for 180ppi to 360ppi, but if you get out a lupe, I'll bet you can see it. > She is making very big prints from 1Ds files, so a lesser dpi would be > preferable. ... You're better off to simply resize the image without resampling. For example, if a 1Ds prints 8by10 at 360ppi, print 16by20 at 180ppi. If you compare this method with resampling, I believe you'll see very little difference ... but feel free to experiment. cheerios ... shAf :o) Avalon Peninsula, Newfoundland www.micro-investigations.com (in progress) =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
