Bob

I think Mike wanted to know about his OS 9 software rather than his OS X
browsing capabilities. Frankly, I don't know any Japanese software that's
been praised here or on other lists. The software provided with the S2 and
the Nikon Coolscan scanners leave a lot to be desired. I suspect the same is
true of the software that comes with the D100 but don't have experience of
using it.

As for browsing, OS X is so much easier on the eyes. I used to use the
shortcut Cmd-Shift-Plus for enlarging text in TextEdit but since a member
pointed out that you can use the shortcut system wide, I do now on various
sites that are painful to view if your monitor is set to anything above
800x600. And the quality is very good. I assume it's due to the new graphics
quartz engine (whatEver).

PS. Welcome to the world without AOL. I don't have to manually delete your
address when I hit Reply! I was told off 5-6 times in our last exchange of
posts...Having set my software up properly, I never check what it quotes!

Now, if only the others who put their email addresses in their name fields
and NOT their names can be persuaded to take the time to conform to the
guidelines, we can all have a 21st century list experience instead of being
forced to live in the 20th century by having to do things manually: like
deleting addresses. How quaint...
