ColorMeastro and Photoshop to sharpen the image and convert to CMYK before
proofing to a Cromalin. The results from ColorMaestro are absolutely
outstanding. The detail it
managed to drag out of the image that Photoshop couldn't was amazing. The
Photoshop image looks very soft by comparison ( and up until now we have
been completely satisfied with those results ). The results from 16 bit
files are claimed to be even better but we haven't tested that yet. <

Hi Steve,

Can you please crop out a high res but smallish section which has
saturated/detailed areas of critical note, of both tagged CMYK files and
send them offlist to me for evaluation/inspection, please?

Failing that, posting a link to RGB web versions for side by side
inspection?

Or detailed info about the conversion steps/settings/variables used in
Photoshop vs. the other software.

Is CM colour managed by ICC methods?

Sincerely,

Stephen Marsh.
