Is it running out of ram or scratch disk?
Is your scratch disk fragmented?
Just a thought but how fragmented is your disk?
Mine needed serious speed disk attention (according to speed disk) despite leaving it on overnight. Is it meant to defrag etc overnight? Anyone know?
Have you tried the iphoto app. as a work around? Seems to be much better than the PS browser for viewing. As long as you don't mind the un-colour managed colour shifts. It grows rapidly as it copies the files into its own folders though.
