[PRODIG] Capture via FireWire

Does anyone have any workflow experience that can help me here? I want 
to capture a model casting using a Canon EOS 1Ds camera. As each person 
is photographed, I want to download the image to the computer and write 
the model's name and agency into the Caption metadata field (must be 
the Caption field in File Info). Then I want to build a web photo 
gallery using the caption as the title that appears beneath each image 
displayed.

I have tried: Remote Capture, iView and iPhoto, but yet to find a 
suitable solution. The program must have reliable connectivity with the 
connected camera and allow me to assign a Caption tag that will become 
embedded in the capture file and therefore be recognised as a caption 
in Photoshop.
