The ouch factor is that ISDN card and software costs about 1,000. Sending files by ISDN direct to clients is the easiest way to deliver digital images but isn't always fast because the other end might not have both channels on.
Using dual to upload non urgent stuff isn't a very big gain because you pay double for the call. We prefer to keep the extra voice line for faxes and outgoing calls.

I'd really appreciate some advice on how to maximise my connection speed to
the internet with this sorry state of affairs ! I'd like as 'fast as
possible' (ho ho) upload and download speeds, as I'm used to uploading
photo-files to the server as well as normal internet use.
To this effect I assume I am looking for an ISP who can provide me with
'bonded' Dual ISDN support. Is this right ? Not many seem to...
Any suggestions as to who to approach and what I should be asking for would
be very much appreciated. Horror stories also listened to with a keen and
sympathetic ear !
Many thanks,
