The subject line reads assign, but this sounds like a _conversion_ and not assigning? Andy, there are no definitive answers - in Photoshop things are visual and numerical (info readings), so one can make the decision with some flexibility - with up to four intents to choose from and the use of BPC or not - and it can get a lot deeper.
