The drpeview site doesn't compare the 5700 and the g3 as they are in different megapixel brackets.
It does seem that noise at ISO100 is less on the 5700 and that smoother diagonal edges etc, but that there are some colour artifacts due to CMYK filters (rather than the RGB ones on the g3). However the dpreview still raves more about the g3 and seems slightly cooler about the 5700 (with bigger image size, smaller zoom range etc, good noise levels when compared to other 5mp...)... is this because it is not an absolute comparison (see above) although they are *actually* in direct competition with each other (i.e. makes no sense to split 4mp and 5mp pro-sumer cameras).
