If your printer is not producing a neutral grey then your profile is not accurate. Are you using a custom profile or just a generic one supplied with the printer? If you are using a generic one it is unlikely to be completely accurate, and its inaccuracies are most evident when printing grey scale images. If you are using a custom made profile it has drifted from neutral and needs tweeking. There are several people on prodig who can supply you with an accurate profile, most notably, Neil Barstow or Thomas Holm.
