Dear list Many thanks to Liisa, Keith, David, Ian, Patrick and Paul for responding to my cry for help (on and off list).
This list is great for immediate help. But a very public way to look silly! So I have got to know my printer a bit better know and feel a little foolish for not having known before that the red light indicates that the ink is too low to print. I know now and what's more I have a new ink cartridge and as I write a print is coming out of the machine.... all is well. I uninstalled and reinstalled the driver too. Maybe it was just the ink problem though. Thanks again. much appreciated.
