[PRODIG] PC format CD on OSX?

I have just noticed a problem with my Cumulus CD catalogue running on 
OSX. Because of difficulties in the past making it cross platform I 
have been putting a Mac session and a PC session on the same disk. This 
has worked perfectly.

The PC session is in 9660 and includes the master image folder of 
jpegs. In OS9 there is no problem seeing the PC icon and Cumulus 
opening the jpegs from the 9660 section of the CD. In OSX the PC 
session just does not show on the desktop nor will the jpegs open. Is 
this a serious problem or is there some other setting I need to make?

Basically the question is why cannot my OSX open an ISO 9660 CD?

The Mac help only has how to burn iTunes for morons!
