But could anyone give me a ball park figure as an idea of how much it would cost to make the transition to digi. For a property photographer, to print to a maximum of A2 with decent wide angle lenses etc?. Just for camera hardware not the computer side of things.
Dear Jackie
Perhaps I am being a bit 'old fashioned' but it seems to me a wee bit strange that some of your professional photographers are not saying, we want to be able to use the controls found in cameras ideally suited to architectural photography. These are of the monorail cameras of course, which feature rising front, falling front, cross front, lens swings, and of course all the foregoing apply to rear movements as well.
Now I have always understood that Savills were in the high end property market, so why the need to expect your professional photographers to use the far more limiting prosummer digital cameras? OK you have the instant gratification and accessibility of images feature, but you are foregoing a hell of a lot I believe. Perhaps I have missed something here!
Cheers
