Dear Graeme

I use a scanning bureau who have one. The results are superb and very clean. ICG scanners are now very cheap secondhand and there are a couple of places selling them reconditioned in the Cheltenham area. I don't know the addresses but google should find them.

As far as I know there is only one issue with them. The drums work on a centrifugal principle and badly curled or damaged trannies cause problems. You might need a different drum for older films. The throughput is very high because of the short loading and unloading time, no grease or tape to worry about.

Hi list,

Has anyone had any experience or results from ICG drum scanners?
I have read some nice remarks on flaar, but wondered if anyone used one in uk.

Trying to decide whether to move up to 848 Flextight or take the leap to drums....

Ta, Graeme
