Sometime ago, I had to photograph two mounted police officers each sitting on their four legged cop cars in Bishopsgate in front of the Nat West Tower - now known as Tower 42. In order to maintain parallel verticals of the said building I set up a monorail on a tripod. Along came a four wheeled cop car and out jumped two officers and without looking to see who or what I was photographing demanded that I pack the gear away and move on. I stood my ground by looking at the creatures who where clearly beginning to feel that the City Grand Prix should have started by now. A stunned silence, followed by many apologies from the red faced rookies in the car, fortunately ended in laughter all round.
