Thanks Neil for the explanation. It makes more sense to me now. Yes, I have profiled my printer/monitor. Strange thing though, I can't seem to get deeply saturated cobalt blues to print. I assume the printers color gamut is just not large enough in that area. Is there any place to view different color gamuts to get a idea of what to shoot for and what is a waste of time trying to achieve. I would like to know just exactly what color gamut my printer/inkset is capable of, what argb and my monitor is capable of as well. Seems I remember stumbling across a web site once that had some nice 3d color spaces displayed but have long since lost the link.
