Hi,

Hope this isn't out of order...

I have been away over the weekend and had to download nearly 400 copies of messages created by the 'SoBig'/Blaster/whatever virus/SPAM thing when I got back

I decided to do something.

I installed POPfile. <http://popfile.sourceforge.net/> it's Open Source, free and it *really seems to work*.

There is a Windoze version and one in PERL, which is the one I run on my OSX box. It has only been running over night and is at 95% accuracy. It's supposed to get better as you correct its' mistakes.

The junk filter in Mail let every one of the virus messages through, POPfile has *caught* every one, so far about 70 of the things...

I know they aren't strictly junk but they are nevertheless unwanted mail.

I just use it to filter junk but it's supposed to be able to act as an intelligent filter for all your mail.

If anyone needs help with the OSX install, mail me off list. It's not too hard and well worth it.
