Buyer beware. I have been caught by this too. I still have to completely satisfy 
myself that this is the case but I have a similar card - can't remember the 
manufacturer but I got it from PC World (yeah stupid I know) - with two 6 pin Firewire 
connectors thinking that it would draw power from the laptop and I would have a 
field-working card reader.... It doesn't!

Phil, can you confirm that the Trust card does actually power peripherals if so I 
guess I have another fifty quid to spend......
