I really object - on principal - to having to ask MS for permission to run
the os everytime I make changes. I'm often tinkering with bits and pieces,
trying new boards etc, and it is a pain. Also the IE and Instant messenger
defaults are intrusive. I know you can turn it all off. If PS ran on linux
I'd be using that! More a political decision than functional I guess. I know
many folk are very happy with XP, and having played with it and despite it
being a bit too cute for my tastes, I've no problem with its functionality,
just the usual MS control freakery
