Hi Mark

We have just completed a shoot on wind turbines around the country all shot
on the 10D and D60. One camera had a Canon 28 - 105mm zoom the other a Sigma
17 - 35mm zoom. We had fantastic weather in Cumbria over three days - the
first time it hasn't rained there for me!

The very obvious and significant difference I noticed between the two lenses
was that with the Canon lens, the heather was reproduced as a gorgeous fully
saturated close to magenta colour, where as the Sigma was somewhat
disappointing in recording the same heather being very dull. Both had the
same skylight filter on.

The difference maybe was that the white balance on the 10D was set to 5200K
and the D60 was on auto white balance. I do not regard myself as having
sufficient technical knowledge to know why the difference was so marked.

A topsy turvey world!

Norman Childs
