Hi all, after receiving many replies about similar orange discoloration due to various macro lenses I went out and purchased the Nikon 105 macro to see if it produced the same fault - IT DID NOT!
So, now relived, I can only suggest that Kodak 14n users stick to Nikon lenses! PS I also tried hoya Close up filters on an 85mm Nikon lens (not normally a good idea but did work on film -sort off) and the same orange spot appeared!
