Laurence,

Are you on 7.0 or 7.0.1?
Since you mentioned going back to the CD, you may be on 7.0, in which case get the free upgrade from the Adobe Website.

As suggested the other possibility is a corrupted Preference file. Try trashing this and trying again, but remember to reste all those prefs.

Hi there, I'm new to this. Commercial photographer up in Edinburgh with
several naive questions.

For now can anyone help with my PS7 going weird on me.

I just noticed that my clone/eraser/healing brush tools and probably others
are behaving differently. With these tools you may gradually increace the
size of the working area as indicated by a circle. I'm finding that beyond a
certain screen size of around 10 pixils the circle dissapears and is
replaced by a cross hair. the tools still work but I can't see the working
area border circle. Not only this but I just noticed that I lost several of
my filters in the drop down menu. I assumed I developed a glich in my
softwear so I reloaded my original PS7 disc to find the exact same problem
still present. I haven't been changing the preferences and can't find a way
to rectify this. I'm suspecting the problem is not in my PS7 but coming from
elsewhere. Anyone help?
