I have been lucky both times, but there may have been something lurking with the first one as coincidentally Airport seemed to be slow for my wife's iMac.
The second version has a different build 6R73 if my memory serves me correctly.
It has performed fine non-stop for more than 24hrs, which I reckon to be sound. I am currently listening to Mostly classical and a while back I had seventeen open programs whilst trying dozens of different settings in my quest to be able to setup my system to be able to FTP files to and from my 120Gb drive over the Internet. Thus far unsuccesfully. I am unsure whether my double Firewall has any bearing on what happens or doesn't!
