Dear
List,
I am trying to
install my Imacon PIII on my XP system and seem to be failing at the first
hurdle. My system was upgraded with a SCSI board , and the only SCSI device
connected to the PC is the scanner. The cable connecting the scanner/PC is a
SCSI II cable, and address 3 is set on the scanner.
After switching on
the scanner the PC is booted, but always fails to boot properly, and stalls at
the point where the XP logo page is displayed. Just prior to that a message is
displayed saying that Windows has encountered a problem, and gives me some
options to proceed, none of which have the desired effect. I also tried
setting address two on the scanner, with the same results.
If I disconnect the
scanner the PC boots as normal.
Has anyone any ideas
about a way forward from here?
