Rechargeable batteries of most sorts suffer a considerable reduction in capacity. If you have a more power hungry digital device, then it is not unknown to use batteries from an inside pocket of your coat via a power lead! <http://www.cliffshade.com/dpfwiw/batteries.htm#cold> One good point is that sensor noise is very temperature dependant - so you may get away with using higher iso. I've seen a difference between winter night shots here in the UK and some I took in southern France in the summer - quite a bit more noise. Only problem with cold cameras is dew ... That and your nose on the back of the camera :-)) bye for now Keith Cooper Northlight Images http://northlight-images.co.uk Photography - Digital Imaging - Apple Mac Consultancy Tel +44 (0)116 291 9092 Mobile +44 (0)780 162 9397 =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
